2011 June Rover Reunion
Monday, June 13, 2011
ACT Ex Rovers and BOFIAN's attended a Old Rover Reunion Moot at Cap Cottermouth on the Queens Birthday long weekend. Around 30 rovers and their families made an appearance over the weekend with around 10 families/individuals camping while others visited for the Campfire and old Moot Port tasting in Saturday night.
It was really great to catch up with the old Rovers. It is suggested we do it again in 3-5 years. Thanks to Brian Farrelly for organising the event.

Hot Air Balloons
Saturday, September 10, 2005
Over the last couple of weeks the rovers have undertaken a project to build and fly a hot air baloon. Construction materials were light weight tissue paper and glue (no sticky tape), Icecream container lid plastic and some thin wire. The balloon has now made 3 flights one travelling in excess of 400m. The cool still spring nights have assisted in launching and retrieving the balloon.

Robot Races with Lands End Rovers
Wednesday, October 13, 2004
Over two conscutive weeks in September members of both Bethungra and Lands End rovers independently constructed line following robots which were raced the following week. Unfortunately the Bethungra Robot needed to follow the gap between 2 lines while the Lands end robot did manage to follow a single black line. The LERC robot seemed to be the winner as the Bethungra robot kept getting distracted from the task at hand and wandering off over the opposition track. Here is a montage of the building and racing.

Stu, Mel and Rebecca build the robot and race it against LERCs machine the next week.

Scavenger hunt
Tuesday, December 16, 2003
On Monday 17th November, Bethungra Rover Crew competed against each other in a rigourous scavenger hunt in cars. There were little twists in the lead position throughout the night (partly due to minor errors in the instructions such as turn right down a main road instead of left!!) but a good time was had by all. In true crew tradition, we needed to refuel our bodies afterwards and this was taken care of by Goodberrys
