The balloon has now made 3 flights one travelling in excess of 400m. The cool still spring nights have assisted in launching and retrieving the balloon.

Robot Races with Lands End Rovers
Over two conscutive weeks in September members of both Bethungra and Lands End rovers independently constructed line following robots which were raced the following week. Unfortunately the Bethungra Robot needed to follow the gap between 2 lines while the Lands end robot did manage to follow a single black line. The LERC robot seemed to be the winner as the Bethungra robot kept getting distracted from the task at hand and wandering off over the opposition track. Here is a montage of the building and racing.

Scavenger hunt
On Monday 17th November, Bethungra Rover Crew competed against each other in a rigourous scavenger hunt in cars. There were little twists in the lead position throughout the night (partly due to minor errors in the instructions such as turn right down a main road instead of left!!) but a good time was had by all. In true crew tradition, we needed to refuel our bodies afterwards and this was taken care of by Goodberrys
